Bought for a present as I have a similar product. Totally useless . Pushed it down in soil, lift it up and the doil just fall out back into the hole.

I like these are very sturdy. My other ones bent after second use. I wish these had the release to let the dirt out.

It does the job but the metal part of the handle will be hard on your hand and fingers after the fourth or fifth bulb. To finish the job, I had to use it with gloves. Otherwise, it’s a good value.

I used it for planting bare root pachysandra, but it makes a standard bulb hole. It is very sturdy; I was using it in heavy clay and there was no bending of the metal. Unlike some makes, it does not have any mechanism for ejecting soil, but at the same time there is no spring or movement to break. You do need to have a stick or something to poke the soil out, especially with sticky clay.

Unlike the planters that have springs and handles that break after the third use, this one is just an overgrown cookie cutter. Had not issue digging dozens of holes before handing it off to my SO who has a knack for exposing weakness in garden tools (usually with broken tools after a day outside). She had no issue using this one to make about a hundred holes (through plastic weed barrier) and planting vegetables. So far no signs of rust but hopefully it doesn't accidentally get left outside. Sturdy and simple, should last many years.

I am using this product for my bulbs but disappointed because the description says there is a soil release button. I don’t like products being misrepresented by the manufacturer. I will not purchase anymore products from this manufacturer. I may return this too. I have been waiting for it for like over 2 weeks.

It’s decent, but only if you don’t have hard or root bound soil. I ended up using a pick ax to plant my tulips and daffodils and found it much easier.

this tool is sturdy & makes gardening much easier. I used to have my husband dig my holes with a spade to plant bulbs. Now I can plant bulbs in in minutes ( 15 min. for 12 gladiolas ) by myself. Love it!!!
