This stand was a neat idea. I've enjoyed being able to utilize this. Whether you're enjoying coffee, tea, etc. this helps you enjoy the story more. Obviously made of good quality, and sturdy construction, this little stand is a treat to use. Could be a great gift idea for the reader in the family. Great value!

Lately I've been returning to buying hardbacks of books that matter to me - so not the quick reads but those books I'll want to keep around for reference or to reread. Thus I need bookmarks! This was too pretty to pass up. It comes in a pretty box making it giftable to any of your book lover friends, and is just as described. It's not so thin that it's bendy/might get bent, it actually has a bit of heft to it. Truthfully, if you find you don't need it as a book mark it'll also make a good hair pin!For the price, I'm very happy with this purchase and if you're looking for a new bookmark, this is a very nice option.

This bookmark/hairpin is beautiful, though a little sloppily constructed, and in trying to work as two very different things, it ends up not being particularly well-suited for either.It comes in a gift box with a little white calla lily taped to it.First off, I noticed that there were short strings in the tassel sticking up. I trimmed off one of them, but I realized that the others were from where the whole thing is tied together, buried in the middle of the tassel. I didn’t want to mess with that, so I left them.As a bookmark, this is really too thick. It’ll leave a permanent gap in the pages if you leave it in the book for very long. As a hairpin, it’s too heavy. And possibly dangerous. I’m sure you couldn’t go through airport security with it. But if you’re ever walking to your car alone at night and you hear footsteps behind you, you could always whip this out of your hair, whirl around, and prepare to shank whoever’s there.I just happened to be wearing pink the day I opened this and already had a pink clip in my hair. So I stuck this in with it. Not bad. I forgot it was there, actually, unless I turned my head quickly and could feel the tassel whipping around. And that prompted me to whip it around some more, making me look like I was periodically gesturing “no, no, no.” So, yeah, okay, it’s kind of fun.But I’ll probably mostly use this as just a decorative element in one of my pen cups, where it looks pretty and invites conversation:“Is that a letter opener?”“No, it’s a shiv.”I might occasionally stick this in my hair when I’m feeling like I need a tassel to whip around, and I might even stick it in a book every now and then as a quick, temporary marker (I’ve been known to use pens for that purpose, so this is a step up from that), but I consider this to be more of a decorative item than a practical one.

This was a gift for my daughter-in-law, and she loved it. Right after we opened our gifts, she immediately placed on her bedside table. It's very sturdy and looks just like the picture. It is worth the price.

I'm trying to stop being that person who uses random grocery store receipts and such as bookmarks. Yeah, it's a bad habit. I do love a pretty bookmark and this caught my eye.It's so pretty and if you're a fantasy fan like I am, this is really going to snazz up your book reading process!
