This is the second gel/foam seat cushion I've had a chance to purchase and review, and this one makes up for the other's shortcomings in that it's extremely comfortable, doesn't compress down to hard rubber when I sit on it, and the tailbone gap in the seat actually is in the perfect spot. The inferior pad put the tailbone relief in the middle of the form, and the raised back actually pushed my hips forward and essentially was sliding me off my chair.I use this cushion on a cheapy office chair that is actually quite comfortable except for the seat, which was thin foam and I found myself sitting on essentially the pan of the seat. This cushion takes it to a higher level of comfort right out of it's vacuum sealed bag. There was no (or minimal, if any) fumes out of the package, and it "inflated" to it's normal height and density within minutes. The material breaths well -- at least I haven't had issue with sweating in my seat wearing khaki's, jeans, cotton docker shorts and dress pants.I have a long road trip coming up, and I'll try it out with that. It's not that my car's seats are uncomfortable, but they are really "sports car" firm, so I'm hoping maybe this can help provide a little more relief. If it doesn't, no bother as that wasn't the main reason I got it: it's serving it's purpose perfectly in my office chair.

I ordered this ZIKEE Gel Seat Cushion for Office Chair and Car Seat with Ergonomic Zoning, Memory Foam Chair Cushion for Sciatica, Lower Back, Tailbone Pain Relief and Intimate Ventilation, Non-Slip & Airy Cover gel cushion for my desk chair; I’ve been looking for a seat cushion to provide some extra support.I have a pretty messed up spine (broken neck, odontoid fracture, degenerative disc disease, fusions, spinal stenosis, spinal stimulator) and finding the right pillows can make a big difference in how productive my day’s work and night’s sleep can be. I’m blessed to be able to work from home, and on good days, I work at my desk in our English basement. (On difficult days, I work propped up against pillows in bed.)My husband also works from home, and he’s been using a memory foam cushion on his desk chair; he said it makes a real difference, especially in days he’s at the computer for more than eight hours straight, and so I ordered this one to try on my office chair.This cushion is made from memory foam; it has four gel sections designed to relieve pressure in the hips and thighs. It measures about 15” from front to back, and about 16” wide; it has a sort of wave design, but is about 3 3/4” at the taller sections, swooping down to about 2 1/2”.The inner foam and gel cushion comes in a zippered case; the sales page doesn’t provide a lot of information about what kind of fibers are in this fabric, but they call it “ice silk fabric” in the fine print near the bottom of the page. I think this is supposed to be a cooling fiber; my husband sleeps under an ice silk blanket. This fabric feels very different from the comforter fabric, instead of being light and a bit slippery, it is black, stretchy, and feels like it is most likely made from a blend of manmade fibers.I found this cushion comfortable for long term sitting; I can’t sit for long periods of time without getting up to stretch, but I did find that I could string together more of these work/stretch segments when using this cushion on my desk chair. I have a very high backed office chair; I didn’t realize until my husband put it together for me that it is actually a gaming chair. My teenager pointed this out; I had just seen a high backed chair that looked like it would be comfortable. Adding this seat cushion helps position my hips comfortably; the angles of the foam dip down for the hips, and curve down in the front for the thighs.One thing I really like about the design of this foam cushion is the unique shape; there’s a cut out in the back for the coccyx and a groove in front for air. The sales page calls this an “intimate groove”; how it worked for me is that the front groove and back cut out allowed for air flow. I’ve sat in my husband’s chair, and his thick memory foam cushion gets warm after a while as I sink further in; while I still sink a bit into this ZIKEE cushion, there’s more airflow. Besides my messed up spine, I also have chronic health issues; one of them is my thyroid, which makes me run hot frequently. I really like the groove/cut out design; it allows me to work more comfortable for longer periods.Finding ways to work around my chronic health and pain issues is important to me; pillows are an important tool in my daily box of spoonie supplies. My desk chair and our bed sport a variety of cushions to support my neck, back, hips, etc. This ZIKEE cushion helps me to sit more comfortably, which improves my work output.At the current price ($35.99) I think this is a nice bargain; I’ve seen similar styles of cushions meant for office chairs sell for two or three times that, or even more. The cushion is sturdy, the zipper case removable and washing machine compatible, the gel/foam combo comfortable, and I love the center cutout/groove, which keeps air flowing and keeps me from feeling I’m melting into the thick foam.I like this so much, I’m thinking about maybe getting another one for the car. In a month or so, I’ll be moving from my winter office in our English basement to my summer office on our roofed sunken patio; this will be comfortable on the daybed where I work in warm weather. Lightweight, cool, and comfortable, wherever you choose to use it.

I was worried it would be too thin or that the foam may not be dense enough, but I’m happy to say the product is great. Thick, supportive and surprisingly cooling as a bonus. I’d recommend for sure.

this is the real deal, no more butt soreness from long driving or just sitting in the car for long periods. the only thing is this adds 2 inches in height, so adjust your mirrors accordingly.

Only thing to keep in mind if you do use this in the car you will have to reset your mirror BEFORE you drive, trust me you don't want to discover you didn't AFTER you pull out like I might have 😂🤣😂

Sometimes I sit for long periods at my desk grinding away at a job and forget to stand up and walk around. In the past, my backside has been punished by this, but no longer. Obviously it's bad to be sedentary for long periods of time, but also life has a way of showing us what's bad for us doesn't matter to it. So, on those occasions that I'm more sedentary than not, this cushion really comes in clutch. It's comfortable, and contours to my backside and thighs giving support where needed, while relieving stress in other places, like my tailbone. This greatly improves my posture while sitting and makes my day less painful. I highly recommend this to anyone who is in need of some cushion and support while sitting.
