Sound Little bit better than the nickel plated. I use them only with my Roland electronic kit. Sound, of course, is a very subjective thing but in my case the Gen16's are fully qualified to do what I need them to do silver or bronze. These Hi-Hats definitely are more versatile than the original Gen16 series, and I replaced them because my silver ones cracked after 5 years of mild to normal use. I'am happy with this upgrade, but in truth there is no WOW factor between silver and bronze, except the bronze looks better than the silver ones. All in all 5 star rating, because there is no turning back to those rubber Hi-Hats.

If you need to tone down your drummer's volume or have cymbals that better match an electronic kit, this is the way to go.These are much better than the old alloy. They both sound more natural and seem to be holding up better. Don't mess with the silver ones that are the older alloy - they crack after regular use. Go for the newer ones like these.

These are great hi hats, I just got them today and played them, they are amazing! I I already have the zildgen gen 16 crashes but I didn't have the hi hats, so now I have a complete set, I have remo silent stroke drum heads on my drums. Buy them!

DO NOT BUY THIS. You are led to believe that you will receive the GEN16 digital processor with the cymbals. You do not. You don't even receive the GEN16 direct source pickup. Both are necessary for even thinking about playing this with edrums.You get a box in the mail with two cymbals in it. That's all. The description should be much more clear that you CANNOT, in fact, Customize Tone, Volume and Balance with GEN16 Digital Processor because you don't receive the processor, which is sold separately for $400. The pickup is sold separately for $60 dollars. All in all, a totally misrepresented product.
