These coins are made well and are finished nicely, but because they do not reveal how much zinc they have they need to be treated as if they are totally made out of zinc. Zinc fumes from a laser can be toxic, and therefore they should not be used unless you have a very good ventilation system.

I would have never thought to work with a coin. I really like the idea. These are a nice silver color. Feel like a real coin. I was expecting to have a typical "tourist souvenir" type coin that feels cheap. I am looking forward to try engraving these. I might also try putting sublimation materials on one.If I can find customers that will buy my designs I will get more of these including the gold ones. Heck I might get some just for Halloween treats for the neighbor kids. They would be cheaper than candy.
