Amazon's photo of this product (Jet-Lube Zinc Dust Petrolatum anti-seize, 1 pound) appears to be a plastic can with a screw-top.What arrived was a one-pound steel can with the sort of top you would encounter on a can of paint -- i.e., openable with a screwdriver and requiring a rubber mallet to close. The can was packaged in a cardboard box and shipped from Stanios Industrial Supply in Carol Stream IL. The can-top was covered in duct-tape, presumably to stop it popping open in transit. The can itself was heavily damaged, meaning I will need to find a new container and transfer the compound there. The tapping required to close the top of this can will only make the existing damage worse. Since the cardboard box was undamaged it appears that the can was dropped either at the factory (Jet Lube) or at the supply house (Stanios) before final packaging. This was not the fault of the US Mail, who did the delivery. The can comes about 2/3 full but does weigh more than one pound, and the contents look good so thre's no trouble there, and I'm confident that the product will do its job. I'd be happier if the seller and/or manufacturer was more accurate in their depiction of the product, and I'd prefer to receive undamaged goods. I don't think these are un-reasonable requests.I bought this zinc-petrolatum anti seize for a project involving alloy-steel screws in aluminum (I had no choice regarding these materials), to slow or reduce galvanic corrosion between the parts. Thanks all for reading, and be careful out there.
