I have Persian Cats. For some reason the tips of the teeth on this comb do not allow it to penetrate the coat to get to the undercoat. The teeth are nice and long, but that does not matter if the length never actually gets into the coat to COMB THE HAIR. Thus I must say do not waste your money on this comb as no tangles or dead fur will get removed with it.

This comb is the biggest you can buy. Its perfect for Bichons, Doodles, Poodles, any non-sheddingdogs. Cats I dont know. I imagine its perfect for any long hair animals to keep from matting.

My big kitty, Abigail, is a Maine Coon Ragdoll mix. Her fine, bunny-soft, very long fur is almost impossible to manage. I've tried slickers, de-matting combs, etc. THIS comb, however, is WORKING! And she loves it! She loves the feel of the rounded edge teeth of the comb. She put up with the other tools. She demands grooming time with this one! And it has removed some of those small mats, the ones that will turn into kitty-dreads in no time! I also have a short hair Maine Coon mix breed who loves it too! Both of my cats are just over the moon about this comb! And so am I!
