I am really on the fence with this one. I have reviewed similar mini amps like this in the past, and have had several others before I started reviewing so much such as the NuBu mini. The problem I have with most of these Bluetooth only amps is that they lack any warmth to them. Yes, it is a pure experience but I still like to have at minimum a bass / treble control to try and get a richer sound from my speakers. This tiny amp has bass and treble controls and for the most part they work pretty decent, the problem is that it only works at a low volume. I know there are a few ways to implement a bass / treble control and I think what is happening here is that if you pump up the bass it drops the other frequencies, so if you turn it up it all gets lost and it sounds like you have blown out speakers.Where this unit shines is at the lower volumes. You can coax out some really rich and warm sounds. I am using this as my PC speaker amp which works well for the lower volumes. I paired it up with a 19v 2.5a power supply I had laying around. I think it would also be better with a higher power source like 24v @ 6a for up to 144w of power, then again that really depends on what your speakers can handle too. This unit does not come with a powersupply, but look around your house and you probably have one in that box of cords and misc. electronics stuff that will work with this fine. You will need to do a mini assembly on this out of the box --- it is pretty simple though no instructions were provided (the most important thing is the short pegs go on the bottom). The screws are tiny, but they do include a tiny screw driver for them. One thing I wanted to test and forgot was the left / right speaker's. It would seem that on the print out they might be reversed from what is logical. Will update the review if I find that to be the case.** Update **I rarely update my reviews, but in this case I felt it necessary. First one thing I was not sure about was the markings on the amp for the left and right speakers, the markings are indeed correct, it is just weird that they would cross over each other, but they do. No biggie.Second, I wanted to update my four star review to a full five star as I am in love with this little amp. I moved them off of my large speakers and put them on a smaller pair of vintage Optimus PRO-X44AV and it is absolutely stunning. These speakers have blown me away in the past, but there is something about the amount of full sound they are putting out under this tiny amp which is only delivering about 25 watts to each channel. Even at low volumes there is a richness that is just hard to explain. Go grab a pair of these ancient but mass produced speakers. I am floored and in awe of this pair up.

It's enough to make me want to put speakers everywhere. Extraordinarily efficient - puts out a ton of volume, and barely gets warm. I've been running a pair of 6.5" speakers off a 5000mAh Li ion battery pack for over 9 hours now and still going... The tone controls are a bonus, and arguably a must - dont skip these.

There is some assembly required for this. Luckily its pretty easy to figure out given that no instructions are included.I hooked it up and initially used an aux cable with my phone, but the cable I grabbed was flaky and kept causing playback to stop in Pandora. I then switched to Bluetooth and it paired for audio with no issues. It sounds good driving my Allied/Radio Shack/Realistic MC-1000 speakers (the specific pair of MC-1000's I have were made in 1971 or early 1972).I am powering it with an old 19 volt 3.45 amp laptop power brick and it runs it quite well. it looks like you can use anything from 12 to 24 volts, but it probably should at least have a couple amps behind it as well. The bottom of the main PCB mentions there is an app for the amp. I did some searching and I found a Whuzi Audio app in the Google Play Store. Upon installing it, my phone's anti-virus programmed it as a low reputation app. Dismissing the warning, I tried using the app to control the features on the amplifier over Bluetooth but could not for the life of me get it to connect, so I uninstalled the app.As far as the specs of the amplifier goes, it claims 100 watts per channel. This is only possible if its using two TPA3116D2 chips in mono mode, not a single one in stereo mode. I did not pull the heat sink to verify, but given that the heat sink is held on with one screw right in the middle, its entirely possible this is the case. Being able to pump 100 watts of audio power is HIGHLY dependent on the power supply you use with it. I can only see this happening if you are using a 24 volt, 4.5 amp power supply. I also strongly suspect the heat sink is inadequate when driving it that hard. My laptop power brick can put out 65 watts of power, so that at best gives me about 30 watts per channel - which is PLENTY for what I'm doing with it.Ultimately, for a $25 basic stereo amplifier, its not a bad value. Its not going to beat a good hi-fi system, and performance is heavily dependent on your power supply and what speakers you use. If you are looking for a basic stereo amplifier that's small in size with Bluetooth and/or aux in, and are handy with electronics to come up with your own power supply, give this a consideration. If you're looking to blast music through a large venue, or a big outdoor space, this is not what you are looking for.
