Zoo Meds Floating Turtle Feeder makes feeding time Fun. Floating fish shaped feeder releases turtle food pellets when bumped. In nature, turtles forage for food and often use their front legs to help get their food. Translucent orange, allowing them to see the food pellets inside. No longer do you have to simply dump their food into the water. Provides a revolutionary new way to feed your pet turtle. Enjoy watching your turtles forage for food just as they do in nature. Better than dumping food directly into the water.

It's well made and holds way more food than my big guy could ever eat. There's a magic amount of food to put in, so it comes out when bumped, but doesn't just randomly float out.I was happy with it, but turtle didn't seem all that interested.

I love this product because I think it's been good for my turtle to keep his little mind sharp. I also like that when he's done eating, the leftovers are all in the fish instead of floating randomly in his tank. The one major design flaw is that it's very hard to clean. The inside is only accessible through a tiny hole on the bottom. I'm hoping that version 2.0 will open up into halves, which would make it much easier to clean.

It's much larger than expected and a bit too intimidating for my 3-year-old turtle. The food pieces that come with it come out waaaay easy so they come out even without any nudging.

This is cute! I was concerned after reading the reviews, I started believing that it was huge. But it’s fine if you have at least a 50 gal tank, if your turtle(s) are at least 5” and there’s room to float around. Both of my juvenile turtles like it, but the downfall is that more than a few pellets came out! When I placed it in the tank, about 15 floated out and they were too busy chasing the pellets around and didn’t get the chance to figure the feeder out!! Hopefully when I try it again, they’ll have the chance to play with it and discover how the food comes out? It’s probably best to use Zoo Med aquatic turtle pellets. I normally use Tetra brand, but it’ll be too small for this feeder. The turtles liked it, I’m happy for that!!!

Nette Idee und schaut gut aus , mehr aber nicht , Futter quillt ja nach einer gewissen Zeit auf und dann geht da nichts mehr von alleine raus , schade ...

A curiosity. Not really functional. NOT for a primary feeding system.

Not good at all. Food falls out immediately and it sinks. Not really sure who came up with this or why they thought it was a good idea

Interesting idea, but poorly developed.Yes, this item is fairly large, but our 10+ year old red ear slider is in a 150 gallon tank, so the size of the turtle feeder wasn't of concern. The holes on the feeder are too small for the maintainence formula (made by Zoo Med.) I drilled the holes larger, but that didn't help. The feeder does not float high enough. The pellets either sink or are submerged when the feeder is gently placed in the water. Our turtle was curious, but the pellets absorbed water and swelled to the point that they turned to mush inside the feeder.I would not recommend this product.
