The motion detection doesn't start the recorder until it's too late. Had someone walk in front of the camera for 100' before the recorder finally started recording, right as he passed under the camera. Have a split second video of his head even though he was in full view of the camera for 15-20 seconds.It doesn't record night vision at all. Every recording at night was a dark screen. The previous DVR I had did a great job at night so I know it isn't my cameras.Tried to return this and had to spend 2 weeks doing diagnostics with the tech team. The return was finally approved and haven't received my refund in over 6 months! They responded at first but haven't answered my last few emails. I'd avoid these guys!

The price attracted me to this buy and was wary being a refurbished item... it still works perfectly. I bought a similarly featured item over a decade ago and the features of this item are even better. Very pleased.

This was a replacement for our existing seven or eight year old DVR which stopped recording. I just plugged in the existing cameras (720P) and it works great. The PC and Android app work so much better and are very easy to use. The HD mode is crystal clear.
