The DVR worked but the Android app doesn't. The app caused my phone to overheat while in use. I eventually had to remove the app and do a factory reset on the phone to get it back to its state before installing their app.

This purchase is for a second security CCTV-DVR set up expanding my system. Having had my Zosi system for several years, I'm confident this DVR will work great in its new role.My only experience is with Zosi systems, and I'm familiar with the hardware and software to run this DVR. It came without a HDD, but I had a hard drive to put in it. It can display and record up to 8 channels. Cameras, and cables aren't included with this unit. I had extras on hand to add to the set up.It has great quality picture, records on a loop on your HDD, and accepts many camera styles. It came with a power supply, software and USB mouse. It can be connected to a network using the Ethernet port, or by adding a wireless USB dongle, which is not included. The DVR connects to a monitor or TV using your HDMI cable. Set up is easy with the installed menu. Recorded video can be played back or backed up on a USB thumb drive.If you have problems, I've found that Zosi tech support has always helped correct my problem, although being in different parts of the world will delay responses.

Wonderful system, easy to install and get up and running. Great cameras, they are very clear and can see very far distance out. Night vision is great, can still see detail very well. Waterproof, they still stay clear in the rain. Two years using this system and still running strong.Playback is a little hard to navigate and isnt very user friendly, but it does work and after a while you really get the hang of it. I have caught a lot because of this system, and even when the door bell rings, I use this system to see who is there. Hands down best system for the price.

I can not figure the motion detection out on this thing, no matter how I set it up when I turn it on it goes crazy.FYI any security system you have hooked up to the internet can be Jacked by law enforcement, I'm not sure exactly what all they can do but they can delete footage so it is always good to have a second system not hooked to the internet as I do so you won't miss something you may need in the future.

The recorder was easy to setup and functions easy to get to. You need to find help to setup on line and recording options are confusing. Working well so far.
