He heats primarily with wood so his hands/arms are always reaching somewhat into his stove. Really helps when loading with wood.

My hands are a bit big for these to be comfortable. I usually wear XL or XXL gloves. I don't mind at all because these work great for putting wood in a hot fireplace. They are well made and thick, but they don't provide good dexterity if you need that. I exclusively use them for their heat resistance, which is really really good so far. They are soft and bendy out of the bag, but better sized for medium and large hands if using them for working.

bought these gloves for my husband who loves to make fires I the fireplaces summer and winter to prevent all the “ouches” when he is tending them. They work. Good thickness and great protection several inches up his arms. Very satisfied with the very well made gloves.

These are better than the last pair I bought however they still do not keep the heat off and I’ve even got a blister on my hand from the heat while I was wearing these gloves.
