The housing was disfigured where one of the wiring screws was located. The screw was also loose... free floating. Poor quality. Would not recommend.

The first one was broken. The mounting bracket was separated by three of the four rivets that hold it together. Amazon did send a replacement and it has worked fine so far…👍

I have a john deere x300 purchased in late 2010. It became more and more difficult to start. Turning the key would just hear a click. Tested the battery and it was well over 12 volts so that wasn't the problem. Read a trick to touch the two posts with positive "red" wires on the solenoid while someone turns the key. If the engine starts then it's a bad solenoid. That clinched it for me so I ordered this part. It's an exact match to the OEM: everything lined up perfectly with the two mounting bolts. And the new solenoid came with washers and nuts which was handy because I lost 2 washers in the grass taking the old solenoid off. Very happy with the replacement. I'll do a subsequent review if I have problems later.
