Perfect replacement for my 30 year old Wilkins pressure reducing valve, which had failed. I was having trouble finding a retailer that sold a 600XL with two female ends (less union) so that it would fit exactly with the old swivel connector. I replaced the O ring on the swivel connector as well (can’t seem to find a modern day replacement for the swivel connector, but replacing the O ring was all it needed), and suddenly I went from 130 PSI to 50 PSI. Whew!If I used a “standard/modern” pressure reducing valve and tailpiece, it would have been so long I would have needed a plumber to cut and solder the copper pipe going to the house (tricky since there’s only so much room in the concrete meter box). Luckily I didn’t have to go that route and replaced the valve myself.
