This is a set of two high quality handmade Zwiesel Glas Enoteca Rioja Red Wine glasses. These are highly giftable glasses mouth blown in Hungary (not Germany) and nicely wrapped in tissue and boxed. These look perfectly clear and brilliant with no bubbles, tint or imperfections and have a beautiful ring when lightly tapped. These are comfortable to hold and have an elegant feel with thin glass and delicate stems. These glasses are a pleasure to drink from.These are large 23 oz glasses with rounded yet tall bowls that taper to the rim, which directs the aroma to the nose. These glasses appear to be specifically for Spanish reds and they’re excellent for that use, but I also find them well suited (as to flavor and aroma) and a pleasure to use in lieu of Bordeaux glasses for medium and full bodied reds, such as Merlots and Cabernets. I don’t own their Bordeaux glasses, but they look much the same as the Rioja glasses but mainly just bigger.A Burgundy glass with a more rounded bowl is more optimal for a Pinot. But, even if not perfect, I do think the bowls on these are rounded enough to use them for Pinots; it just depends on things like how attune one is to fine nuances, who is drinking the pour and so on. These are luxe glasses that feel delicate, yet seem reasonably durable in that I’ve had no breakage or issue so far. And, while I’ll mainly hand wash, I’ve run them thru the dishwasher a couple times without an issue. Love it. 5 stars.

My wife was looking forward to these, loving a glass of wine before dinner. The product packaging is impressive ansd denotes craftsmanship, and the care for the glass is obvious.What she can't come to terms with is how extremely thin the glassware is. She can't be comfortable sipping wine from them, always being so careful no to tip or drop such a beautiful, well-crafted and expensive glass.They now stay on display, used only with her best friend for an occasion. She worries too much about breaking to relax with them.

I love these glasses, they are beautiful! They are very thin and feel fragile but they can take a hit without breaking. The delicate feel really adds to the wine drinking experience. The glasses are quality!

I almost exclusively use Riedel glassware but I have been so curious to try Zwiesel. Honestly, these are the champagne glasses I have been searching for (and I have a lot of different Riedel ones!). Don't get me wrong, I love Riedel but these are something really special.As soon as I opened the box (and WOW), I was blown away with how gorgeous these were- the glass itself was perfection and even holding them made me feel super fancy. The performance and how it brought out notes of the champagne, how it showcased the color, bubbles, etc. were what you would expect (top notch).I was a little concerned with fragility because they feel so elegant and delicate in your hand. However, I had a bit of an oopsie when placing these on the top rack of the dishwasher (I know, I should hand wash but I just don't roll that way). The stem of one had shifted and caught the edge right has my husband was pulling the rack out and I thought for sure it was a goner and snapped and was horrified. To my surprise- they both were perfectly fine. Not even a chip or a scratch. Phew! I might have cried. No exaggeration.I thought bougie glasses were for bougie people for the longest time. However, I learned a few years ago that it really does make a difference across the board. If you have some special bottles and want to showcase them - this is what you use. Riedel is also very good but these are in a league all their own.I didn't think I could be impressed by glassware at this point but I absolutely love these and they are hands down my favorite.
