Heavy plastic cover with strong elastic band. Seems it would work well but only if you don't have the curb deflector. The handle to raise/lower the curb deflector rests on the edge of the tub. To use the cover would require a hole be made to access the handle thereby allowing moisture in the tub.

We use this hopper cover on our Shindaiwa spreader. It fits like original and seems durable. It is well made and should last for years. It is easy to install and the clear opening allows for viewing of the material while spreading. The cover keeps rain from entering the hopper and clogging up the shute.
