Solid and heavy materials/construction. Works very well. It holds a Dewalt 100lbs planer. Should have gotten black locks but everything works perfectly. I was a little worried it would actually hold such a heavy load even though it says so but no problem. Could probably take another 50lb but have not tried.

These drawer slides are very well constructed and hold over 250 pounds, which is far more than I'll manage to load in the drawer. They are to finish my new kitchen island. The drawers are delayed so we haven't installed them yet. They are straightforward and will be no problem for my handy husband to install. They are a good value for the heavy duty construction and will be able to handle whatever I throw at them.

Worked well, seem substantial, using for a 100lb load, easy glide.

I have a hand-built chest of drawers that was probably a map chest but was used in a chemistry lab. It is all hardwood and hardwood plywood. It is most likely over 70 years old because I found pieces of paperwork inside from the early 1950’s. I’ve had it for 30 years and I love it. I use it for hardware and hadn’t any trouble with the hardwood drawer glides until now. Because of my back, it is very hard for me to bend down and use enough force to open the bottom drawer. I heard it too often during my life, “It isn’t you, its me.” In this case the drawers are fine, I am the problem.I ordered economical 26” drawer slides. They claimed to be able to support 300 pounds a pair. What I got for $20 less was flimsy metal. The ball bearings were tiny and while trying to mount the slides, I had to pull them apart and the ball bearings scattered. I gathered what bearings that I could and returned the slides. These slides are made of real metal not foil like substitute. The bearings are large and are held captive by their cage and do not fall out when the slide is pulled all the way out. They are rated for 150 pounds because they are so long. I suppose these would support 500 pounds if they were only 12 inches long. The reason the rating is so low is because of leverage. Think of a nail. You can’t pull one with your fingers and it is close to impossible with pliers. But grab a 12” pry bar and it is easy, Take a 24” pry bar and you can pop the nail into the air. A loaded drawer does the same thing, as you pull it out to its limit, gravity and leverage come into play. So, beware of those that rate their 24” and up slides at 300 pounds or more. If you need that capability, buy something like this and double it up. Look at any decent tool chest and you’ll see they have done the same thing.I left the hardwood glides in as insurance. I angle these slides slightly so that the drawer rests on these slides for most of the travel, but the hardwood glides share the load when the drawer is pulled all the way out. I did that as added insurance. I’m a belt and braces (suspenders) kind of guy. Plus, my pants seldom fall down. These slides made a huge difference. I need to stopped bracing myself for a big tug because I nearly pulled the drawer completely out.I plan on adding more slides as my condition worsens. I suffer from old age and there is no cure. I also suffer from bank account, as in, it is usually empty. When I do add more slides, I know where to spend my money.I gave this 5 stars because they are extremely well built and don’t boast impossible numbers.
