I put in a 10 zone system in the summer of 2018. I liked the ease of install of the Blu-Loc system, though time will tell how it holds up. It's August of 2021, and last week I fixed a sprinkler head that had slipped off the blue pipe and had water drilled a big hole underneath the sidewalk.I fixed my first valve a couple of months ago, although it was starting to leak last fall when I winterized the system. Today I found my 2nd leaking Hydo-Rain valve. The whole front yard was a soggy mess, I thought the cooler overcast weather meant I just needed to back off on the watering schedule, then on closer inspection I realized the drip beds up near the house had been leaking for who knows how long until the whole front lawn, all the way out to the street, was saturated.I haven't figured out what the new problem is. The first leaking one I took apart and cleaned up and couldn't find anything obvious wrong with it, put it back together and nothing, so I swapped in a diaphragm from a spare valve and that did it. Maybe the rubber is getting too stiff? I suspect it's the same thing with the 2nd one. I'm not having any luck finding a replacement diaphragm, so I need to replace the whole valve, which makes me reluctant to recommend them. The solenoids sound like they are working. Speaking of which quite a few of them are cracked, but that doesn't seem to keep them from working, though I suspect it will affect their longevity.
