This is the perfect transition for my door threshold. I had a metal one but it was only 2 inches wide and was still quite a harsh bump as I traversed it with my mobility scooter. This transition rises 1 inch but is 4 inches wide. The 4 inch width makes all the difference for the small wheels on my scooter. This is made out of a hard rubbery plastic that compresses slightly when you roll over it. It is a much smoother ride. It also has little lines moulded into it for traction. This helps when it is raining and my scooter's wheels are wet. It is 40 inches wide but can easily be cut to your door width. Our door is only 36 inches wide. The double sided tape holds it in place nicely. I am so glad I ordered this. It makes going outside way less bumpy and has made a big difference to my comfort.

Added this ramp wedge to inside of van for wheeled cart to make the lift onto the larger folding ramp. Planned to cut to length and/or split it lengthwise to fit the needed rise. Just to check, I dropped it in place in front of the higher main ramp and it fit exactly. Peeled of the tape protector and attached to the floor liner...job done and much less strain on the pull to load and unload. I give this one 5 stars and a satisfied smile!

I have a very specific use case scenario that this ramp worked perfectly for. I needed it half as wide but twice as tall. Surprisingly it was very easy to cut the ramp in half. I then used the adhesive on the back to stick them together on top of each other. This has worked great and allows me to access my shed much easier. See the pictures for a better visual. I realize this is a very specific issue but maybe someone else would like to repeat. The build quality is great and the ramp is super sturdy. Also there is no rubber smell whatsoever when I opened the package so that's always nice. Solid ramp and solid for my use!

This is my review for 1" Rise Threshold Ramps for Doorways 40'' L Floor Transition Strip Wheelchairs Ramps, Edge Door Threshold Reducer Transition Strips for Home Steps (Black). I have a 1" dropoff between my driveway and the garage floor. So when I am putting away my jetski that 1" bump makes things crazy difficult. This ramp is plastic. I cut it in half to go under each 400 pound trailer wheel and it supported the weight great. This ramp makes the end of my ski day a lot easier.

This is not a very high ramp, but still, it's exactly what we needed to get my daughter's wheelchair over the threshold and onto the deck. My wife spends all of her time with our daughter and the threshold was just a little too high for her. Now, she can easily get both the wheelchair and the transporter out onto the deck so they can both enjoy these beautiful days whenever they want. Material is thick and strong and easily supports the wheels. It can also be cut to the perfect length so that it looks great up against the aluminum threshold. Also helps seniors (and everybody) from stumbling on thresholds that are just too high.

This threshold ramp is easy enough to use – you just lay it down in front of the door threshold that you want to modify. Because of the rubber material it is made from, it does not slip around or move – it stays put. It does have adhesive backing if you want to secure it to your floor. It is sturdy enough that it does not compress when being walked on. Vendor says it is safe for up to 500 lbs, and I believe that. A heavy patient with a heavy wheelchair could use this without issue. Mine is just 1 inch in height, which is perfect for my door. It has a textured surface for a safe grip for shoes, but not enough to inhibit a wheelchair. It is a fair price for the safety.I suggest you measure your space well before you choose the height that you need.

The stock photos are not in any way indicative of the actual item. They show a wheelchair rolling over a wide and deep plane. This isn't the case at all. The listed dimensions are different in the description and in the stock photo. One says 2.5" wide and the other says 4" (neither match at least 2 of the stock photos). I wouldn't buy it again just based on the listing.
