These are really overpriced compared to non-magnetic ratchet straps, and they only have a magnet on one end. The long strap end has a magnet, but the end close to the ratchet is not magnetic. So, yes, you can still loose your straps if they come loose. Seems like a regular ratchet strap with a magnet taped to it would be a better value.
