This thing is SHARP. And its Hardened Steel so its going to stay sharp. It made ReFelting a Pool Table a FAR Less Tedious task and will extract the most stubborn staples.

These are gold. I use them every day. They stay sharp for a very long time. Believe me I punish these things. Even use them for things not intended. If I get two years out of them they will last you for ever. I have not found better or I would buy them no matter the cost. Best ones I've beaten up yet. Almost time to order more. Don't take that the wrong way. There worth every penny.

I researched this tool and the C.S. Osborne 124 Staple Remover 124 and decided to buy both. They were both well-made, sturdy and did the job. For me, the C.s. Osborne 1201/2 64006 was better for the small staples I was dealing with although I rotated between tools. I lent both tools to my daughter who was removing carpeting from stairs and she said she never would have gotten her project done without these 2 tools. I thought maybe after her project I would have to replace the tools thinking that after such strenuous use they would have broken. But they are just as good as when I bought them. Highly recommend both.

I used this to remove staples in a couple of small upholstery projects. When I looked for a staple puller, I was hesitant because of the price. But, this is the ideal tool for that use. It takes a job which is usually a pain in the neck, and makes it simple and quick. It works so much better than others I have used.Well made in the US, a tool for a lifetime! So glad I didn’t fool around with any “cheaper” junk!

Replacing carpet with hardwood so I had the dreaded task of ripping up all of the staples. I remembered doing this at my old house and it being brutal, so I had to find a better way. That is when I found this tool. I've already removed the carpet from one room and the ease of taking staples up with this compared to pliers/screwdriver method was night and day. It got my staples up like a hot knife through butter. Now, your mileage may vary depending on the staples used and the floor. The staples in my new house seemed somewhat small (not sure if any smaller than previous times) and they were being removed from 3/4" plywood. The last time I had to remove staples it was from solid oak floors that had been covered up, I do not know if that made a difference. What I can say for sure though is that this tool took these staples up with so little effort, that I would highly recommend this to anyone at least to try it out.

This worked well to pick staples out of a dining chair. The points are very sharp and good for prying. I used it pry out one side of the staple and then a pliers to pull out the remaining staple.

Our front screens (facing the bay) were blown out by Hurricane Michael. We are 41 miles East of Mexico Beach, FL but our winds only got to about 70 mph with gust to 90 mph. However only one of our six 5'x10 screen panels survived and the one survivor was badly stretched. Only the larger top panels were damaged but we replaced top and bottom on all 6 panels so the screen material would match. That meant over 200 linear feet stainless steel staples had to be removed first. We used almost 4,000 staples on the repair. We had to remove almost that many original staples. The staple lifter tool combined with a pair of staple puller pliers made the job much easier. I highly recommend this tool for jobs that require a large number of staples to be removed.
