The permanently sealed light seems well built and it is simpler, safer and lighter than the original one which was made by “professional” pool builders, which apparently want to trick you into spending another thousand bucks on their product.

This light is bright with 33 feet of waterproof cord to the controller connector, then another three feet after that. It has a magnetic mount with a detachable back, so is designed for above ground pools. The included remote has 20 colors to enjoy and 4 pre-programmed buttons.It really earns its stars when you install the app. I'm not sure the sensitivity of the LEDs, but it seems like it's capable of any of the 16 million RGB colors. It will do beats to the music or mic from your bluetooth connected phone and has many more lighting programs you can automate from the app. Overall, a pretty sweet deal.

This Lamroro LED Pool Lights is a good kit to light up a pool. This light is in an attractive "tear drop" shaped plastic housing. The light has a long (~30') cable, with connector, that attaches to 24 volt DC power supply, that itself connects to a 6' AC power cord. The kit includes a remote control. This same kit appears to be available from several different vendors on Amazon.The light comes with a magnetic mounting ring for steel or vinyl pools. Our pool wall is extruded aluminum pieces that lock together and are pretty thick. Aluminum is not magnetic, but the magnetism should theoretically pass through without issue, if the magnets are strong enough to hold through the extra thickness of the aluminum. The light is temporarily held in the desired location below the water line. Some experimentation may be needed to find the best spot. With the magnetic mounting ring included, the hold was strong enough to keep the light in place just fine. Well, the magnets can hold!WARNING! With the magnet mounting, the light could get bumped and dislodge. Just remount the same way and all will be well.The light also has a 1/16" stainless steel tether cable. This cable has a movable clamp to attach to the pool.The Android phone app was easy to set up and worked fine the first try. Some presets are included, but do not appear to be customizable in style. Music can be used to control the lighting change, as well. The app is pretty good.This light looks good. I really like this light for a few obscure reasons:- The light's cable has a connector at the DC adaptor. I wanted to weave the wire between the top walkway and pool wall, and with no disassembling of the pool, that was pretty easy to do.- There is a remote control included, so you have a choice to use the remote OR the phone app to control the light .- There is a speed control to make color transitions slower or faster. The speed can get very slow, making the color changes very subtle.This Lamroro pool light is quite nice and reliable. The low price makes it a very good deal.

I know that this pool light is advertised as being for above ground pools but I'm using it on my 18'x36' inground pool and it works great!I have an older pool with metal walls and the magnets hold on nicely!Granted I do have another light in the shallow end but this light alone produces enough light to cover most, if not all of the pool!The colors are great and I love that I can set up a timer to turn it on and off at certain times of the evening automatically.It even comes with a nice remote and the app works great also.

It’s brilliant the shipping was fast , everything works as it should, but the people I sent it to are to afraid to actually put it in their pool because it’s connected to a electric plug. Go figure. I guess battery operated with no electric plugs would be the choice for them. The brightness is great. When not inside the pool since they never put it in the pool. They were too afraid of being electrocuted. I will never buy them anything again

I like this pool light very much. It implements several neat features.The adjustable coated wire hangar is brilliant. It lets you adjust the loop size and depth of the light in the pool with a simply elegant sliding mechanism. I geek out over stuff like that.The 3 magnet spider that forms a pool wall sandwich with the body of the light works well. For fun, we attached the light to the side window of the van using the magnet sandwich. It held.The remote did not have batteries included which was a small bummer being unable to try it right away. You cannot even turn it on without the remote, or the app. But the app can turn it on, and do a few things the remote could not do. Change color when you shake your phone. Change color when it hears sound.The app is an unfinished work, despite mostly working. Help, about, and a few other screens would display for less than one second then disappear. The function to flash to a music file did not work.Actions were sometimes laggy and slow, freezing the screen for several seconds till eventually it would respond in some unexpected way. Brightness control only affects single color mode. As soon as you select any flashing, or any other feature it returns to full brightness.Still, plenty good enough, mostly.
