The KCMOSGI 10 Inch Pond Filter Box is excellent to use in a pond setting. It allows for a greater amount of time between lifting the box and water pump needing to be lifted out of the pond for cleaning.I like the larger 10” box as it is easier to place and maneuver my larger pump in it.I didn’t rate the filter box as five stars as the box cover is not a fitted cover. The product picture is a little deceiving. It is a flat bag that fits around the plastic box. The sides fit great but the bottom has loose edges. I solve this using a zip tie on the pointed bag angles. The top is loosely fitted but this is ok as you have the water hose and electric cord coming out of it.It is a good value at the $15 price.

Excellent product for your pond pump! I use a perforated bag just like the one that is included in this kit, however the differences with this kit is you get a fairly good size plastic Square structure to put inside the bag before you add your pump. This makes a huge difference because your pump will then draw water through all four sides and the top, rather than just through just the area by the pump Inlet that the bag covers. The problem with just a bag is that it gets filled up with contaminants, leaves, dirt, Etc and your water flow is restricted. With this Square bag, you should be able to go much longer without having to clean the bag as it has so much more material to draw water through. This is a huge labor saver for me and I highly recommend it.
