This is great quality magnetic tape that really delivers. The weight and density of the tape feel excellent in the hand, giving confidence in its durability.Most importantly, it’s very strong and holds a surprising amount of weight — much more than I expected for magnetic tape of this type. It’s been reliable in every application I’ve used it for, from organizing tools to holding lightweight items on metal surfaces.I appreciate that it comes with two different levels/types of sickness for different surfaces too - both 3m Red and 3m Blue adhesive - great touch.Overall, I’m very pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone needing a solid, dependable magnetic tape solution.

Flexible magnets don't have the strength of neodymium "rare earth magnets" and if you come into this product with those expectations, you will be disappointed. For light duty usage of 4x6 photo frames or arts and crafts with children, this is perfect but don't expect to be holding together curtains or wrenches like in the photographs. You need stronger magnets for that. Magnets have a scale and these are at the lower end. The max energy product (MGOe) of flexible magnets is somewhere between 0.6-1.2 MGOe, Ceramic generic (refrigerator style) magnets = 3.4 MGOe, Neodymium (pinch your finger) magnets = 35-52 MGOE.

I'm using these magnets to adhere cardboard backed pictures and drawings to a stainless refrigerator. While the sticky adhesive is very good and covers the entire back of the strip magnets, the magnets are a bit weak. They're going to work for what I'm using them for and would definitely work for other light craft projects, but anything much heavier, I don't think these would suffice.

I had a project where I wanted to attach strips of wood to a metal surface. My first attempts were with strips trimmed from magnetic sheets, but they didn't have enough gumption for the task. These tapes turned out to work much better, even with their narrow width. The fact that they only needed to be trimmed to length, not to width as well was pure bonus. Not super powerful magnetic grip, but quite satisfactory within their limitations.

Needed some magnetic strip to hold some lights on my rig and trailer. This did the trick. The adhesive works well and stuck to the plastic housing. The magnet is fairly strong compared to other low cost options. Will work well for my needs and it is a good value.

Not the strongest magnets, but good for basic uses and crafts. There's plenty to work with (if you get the rolls) so you can test out adding more magnet strips if they aren't holding enough weight.

These are paired magnetic strips. If you are putting on dust shields or speaker grills, then you put a blue sticky on one, and a red sticky on the other. This makes the magnets line up to stick strongly to each other. This is the function of the two color adhesives, they are the same adhesive, but the magnets are opposite polarity face to face.I needed to put some dust shields on a computer that had a plastic case. I bought some aluminum mesh dust shield and stuck magnets around the edge, then I stuck the mating magnets to the computer case. They stuck and seemed to center themselves with very little effort. Now, I can pull them apart to clean the dust from them if I need to.I have a few other things I need to temp mount and be able to pull them apart. Like my laptop on top of its cooler. I don't like hook-to-loop fasteners. These magnets solve this functionally perfectly.The 3m glue on these is the best there is. It holds well after a day or so, and then it adheres nearly forever. It is really an ideal adhesive if you give it time to set. Sometimes I put weights, or clamp things together while the adhesive sets. I give at least a day.One thing to watch out for is I have a magnetic watch band. I really like it, but when it came close to a paired set of these magnets, it preferred to stick to them instead of the other half of the watch band. It came right of my wrist.These magnets strips solve many problems and are a significant value for their price and functionality.

I never used or even knew magnetic tape existed, so when I discovered this I got pretty excited and startedthinking of a million uses for it..but I'm pretty disappointed and this is more or less just a gimmick and is about as strong as a weak fridge magnet. To be fair, I don't know if it's only because it's 0.5 inches and just needs to be thicker or the magnet is really weak itself or the product is actually bad, but I'm very UN impressed and recommend finding something else.
