Electrical engineer here. I bought ten and am able to reproduce up to 300mA of current error, on all ten units, just by gently pulling and/or bending the wires coming out of the back of the display. This is NOT a calibration issue. Current draw for the meter circuitry alone was only 10mA from 5 to 30VDC, and they're nice and bright.

As others have said, the pre-crimped connectors that come with this device use steel wire. For a couple fractions of a cent per device, the manufacturer could have gone for copper and made the device much nicer to integrate. Save yourself some trouble and buy copper wire versions of the pre-crimped connectors or build them yourself with copper wire. What really killed my ability to use these is the failure at high current. At 1A loads, you can adjust the current setting and match the load very well. With a 9A load, the damned thing shows 15A (with the correct adjustment at 1A) and is only adjustable down to ~14 A reading. I didn't think this thing would even display over 9.99A from all the photos, but it does move the decimal point for higher currents. Maybe if there was more documentation I could modify it to accurately measure a 10A load, but alas there is absolutely no documentation. Now these will go to the landfill, which might as well be where they came from.

This product comes without documentation. Voltage side: (voltage is measured in PARALLEL): Thin black wire: common. Thin red wire: regulated +5 VDC. Thin yellow wire: Sense (connect voltage you want to measure). Current side: (Current (Amps) is measured in SERIES): Thick black (input): common. Thick red: load negative (output). There are two clearly marked potentiometers on the back... one for voltage adjustment (V_ADJ) and one for current adjustment (I_ADJ). Connect a multimeter across the connection you want to measure, preferably a known voltage (from a power supply) and adjust the voltage pot to match the display to the multimeter. Connect a multimeter set to Current/Amps in series with the meter while connected to a load. Adjust the Amps pot so the display will match the multimeter. I hope this helps.

These are very inexpensive and worked great for the battery dis-chargers I needed. Very easy to read and are adjustable for calibration purposes. Seem to still function down to about 4 volts.

Very happy with the ease of installation and ability to calibrate voltage and current readings via onboard pots of these little meters. 5 stars and wouldn't hesitate to order more.

One of the meter display segment doesn't lit properly.Customer service rep responded and solved the problem very quickly. For V readings, 1.5V shows 1.7, 5V shows 5.1, 20V shows 19.8 and 30V shows 29.6.Under 10V, shows only two digit, eg. 5.5 not 5.50For I readings, shows high over 1A.Screen shot tests were done with 10 ohm, V-adj calibrated to 10V and I-adj set to min.All measurements were verified with reliable DMM.Current terminal and shunt were soldered too close to be plugged firmly. needs attention! All readings were not linear, but it will be a great addition for DIY project or old PS w/analog meter.

Incorporated these into the power system of my 12v Christmas Light Show. The has allowed me better visibility of the current and power draw of the various components. Installation was straightforward albeit I needed to use the wiring diagram on Amazon as none is included with the purchase. I did have an issue with 2 of the 10 meters. The supplier was very responsive and immediately resolved the issue with replacements. Would definitely recommend the product and the supplier.
