Unit was shipped in product's box that is SAME SIZE as the unit with NO padding, styrofoam, whatsoever and in a plastic bag. two units received dented at the ends; must have sustained significant impacts in shipping. Box is ONLY big enough to fit around the product with NO foam padding.Cable is WAY TOO SHORT at only 50cm (20 inches). Should be a minimum one meter or more. Cable cannot be replaced since it is wired directly into the motor coils. Now will require a custom extension cable costing about $60! Short cable is VERY EXPENSIVE cost cutting by mfgr!T-slot nuts on bottom are 6mm. TOO big. Side slots have 4mm. TOO small. Should all be same size. Use standard 5mm.Motor back cover has hole for a double shaft, but since motor does NOT have a double shaft, hole is wide open. Should be plugged to keep out dirt, oil, etc.!Stepper motor clicks/rotates a fraction when holding power is set to 1/2 current at start of stepping cycle, so motor must be run at power wasting full-current hold. Does not happen with OTHER mfgr's step motors! One unit has different ballscrew nut that does NOT have adjusting set screws, and the holes where there WOULD be adjusting set screws are filled with a plug!UPDATE: The motor clicking sound is caused by the driver. With DMT320/340 and the DM542 set at half current hold. At full current hold (sw4 on dm542) no click is made. Last two units I purchased came in an Amazon box big enough for plenty of padding. However, there was No padding! Item flopped around in the box, but at least it was not damaged the way the previous ones ordered were which cam in a skimpy box the size of the product itself. Additionally, short cables requires adding an extension costing me another $40 for the cable and connectors! Mfrgr should have AT LEAST one meter length of cable on the unit.
