It didn't function as I hoped. The aluminum ears are marred after one uses it did pull the cartage apart leaving the outer barrel in the shower faucet. Corrosion of the barrel was the problem.

It was the tool I needed. I had one problem with it. The screw it comes with is metric, my shower handle is SAE. Had to go buy the right screw size to use it. Otherwise it worked good.

Seems like a great tool, BUT the threads are the WRONG size for the Moen 1225B cartridge. I tried it on two different faucets and the threads simply don't work. Other than that VITAL problem, it seems like a great tool!

The thread on the screw and tool match but they do not match the cartridge thread, so the tool does not work.

I mistakenly thought this company would fix this thread problem with this product. I returned the first one because it would not work, instead of refund I chose send another. Wrong move, same problem this is not 10-24 threads. and a 10-24 X 2 1/2" screw will not fix the problem with this particular product because the threads on the piston to press this out is NOT 10-24 so a new correct screw will not work unless you tap the piston to 10-24.
