My grandson wanted a star that would change colors like our tree and this is the perfect star for that it compliments my tree perfectly and the variety of light patterns is wonderful.

You can set the color like a traditional tree topper or you have different color modes, including sound reactive to enhance your tree. This would be better on a live tree as my 3rd year with an artificial tree, forced me to modify the top or it would droop.

Main issue with the star is that it changes its color on its own. I'll set the color and the next day or even a few minutes later, it's changed to blue. The other issue is the lack of power supply. They included a cord but no plug, so I had to go to the store and buy the power supply plug, which defeats the purpose of shopping online for convenience.

The product itself is pretty but the usb connection is a pain. We have many devices , including the Xmas tree, hooked up on our Google home network. The entire network “blew up” when we plugged in the USB electronics that controlled the star. We disconnected everything but no luck.
