These seemed like standard taper stick candles to me, and worked as I expected. I'm not too picky about candles, though--- simple and no frills, what you see is what you get. Black candles are nice, especially against a white or red table-cloth, and these were great. I don't think that they burn for as long as advertised, but I wasn't watching the clock--- their burn time might not be quite right. That said, they're good looking and nice occasion candles.

these burned so fast and made a huge mess, pretty colors but wrecked linens and burned out before event was over, lasted 3 hours is all. was really bummed, bought many colors all were the same.

I got these candles for a quinceanera dinner. The total duration of my dinner was three hours. The duration of the candles was less than one hour before they were halfway done because of the flowers that I put around it all the candles had to be extinguished before the first hour was up. So much for a candle at dinner. Worse yet, we had a 20 minute ceremony lighting 15 candles for each of my twins. By the time the last one was lit. We were having to turn off the first candle. My dream of getting pictures with them nicely lit didn’t really come to be. They did look beautiful before they were lit. But they also dripped. Additionally, they did not all burn at the same rate. We also had two of them burned so quickly that before we had a chance to tell our guest to please turn them off when they got close to the flowers, two of our centerpieces caught the flowers on fire. I’ve just never had this experience with candles.

These are excellent candles!! You get so many for the price, and they tend to last quite a while! I haven’t ever used a dripless candle but I was amazed at these when the candle was lit but nothing was pouring over the sides. It was so exciting because I hate cleaning wax messes! The set comes with a tiny container of adhesive to keep your candle from tipping.. however I haven’t had any luck with it. It may be because I had left this in my garage where it got cold, but I couldn’t get anything out of the container because it was all dried up. It’s totally possible that it’s only like this due to where I stored it for a while, but I’m not entirely positive. This set of candles comes with 30 tapered candles that are all 10 inches long. I got the ivory color so I could use them any season or setting, but they have so many beautiful colors to choose from, and I can’t wait to get more! My fire alarms are so dang sensitive that I never usually light candles but these don’t smoke at all and so far haven’t caused anything to go off in my home. They’re definitely winners in my book!
