It seems very sturdy and holds onto snaps well once you practice a bit. My 9.5 cm snaps were slightly larger than the ones that came with them, so I ended up turning the little rubber gasket around that held the snap parts. That worked to hold each snap side in place so I could place the snaps without getting the rubber piece stuck to my project :)

Cons: This one did nice at first but the metal is to soft and it bent now the clamp snap part doesn’t match the top to the bottom!Pros:It is easy to use and the snaps work well!

Had some swim trunks where the pocket velcro was past its prime and decided to replace with snaps since it would be easier all around. Came out perfect, holds great.Why are all the negative reviews user error? Because I made the exact same mistakes before realizing. The spiked sides are meant to spread outward, so if you see review pictures of them bending inward, they had the female snap in the wrong direction. I ruined 6ish of the spike pieces before I realized my mistake. I thought maybe it was the fabric was too thick or the rubber was too high on the tool. These were false assumptions. Make sure you properly orient the female snap and you will have no issues.I also made sure to test the hold strength and found no issues there. If the fabric is super thick, these definitely will not work since they are small, so fair warning. For average fabric thickness, they are great.

Only worked for a few clamps before the tool bend and clamped the rest skew and became unusable.

These snaps are junk. Dritz snaps are much better. I ran out of my Dritz snaps and bought these to complete a project. I needed to place about 14 snaps onto 2 layers of quilting cotton. Not a single one worked properly. The pliers didn't work at all so I placed the snaps using another jig. Most of the snaps were deformed. Prongs wouldn't curl into the other half of the snap properly. The ones that did manage to stay in the fabric wouldn't snap together. I went through about 10 snaps, and ruined some fabric, before I gave up and had to make and emergency run to the store to buy the Dritz snaps. All of my Dritz snaps went together without a single problem. Extremely disappointed in these snaps.
