This is a great pack to have on hand. I always have struggled to find well fitting pants or skirts in the waist and hips. So I buy ones that fit my hips and use this kit to bring in the waist a bit. Saves time and effort taking to the tailor (and allows for my ever changing waist size to feel comfortable ;)

These will be a great help with the clothes I make for my young grandchildren. All of them, in the toddler stage, seem to be shaped differently so that even though the clothes get handed down between siblings and cousins, they aren't always the right fit. These adjustable elastic buttonhole strips will make the waistbands much more "various size" friendly. I think the price is also very reasonable.

The elastic and buttons seem to be of good quality. I will definitely be using these in my jeans!

I often need to take in the waistband of a skirt or a pair of pants.In the past, I would make a pleat in the back centre and sew it down. If I didn't want the alteration to be permanent ( so that 2 people of different sizes could each wear the same garment, swapping back and forth), I would pin it with a giant safety pin,Using this elastic with button holes is a much better alternative to using a giant safety pin.The elastic comes in pre-cut lengths of 10 inches. You get 10 of them.You also get 20 clear buttons. The buttons are just the right size for the button holes in the elastic.I don't need 10 inches of length, so I cut down the elastic to half the size, and sew one button on the back of the waistband, left of centre, and another button on the back, but to the right of centre. Then I fasten the short length of elastic to one button, form a pleat with the waistband to take it in, and fasten the elastic to the other button to keep the pleat in place.The kit includes black thread and a needle for sewing the buttons. The kit also has a tool to thread the elastic WITHIN a waistband casing, like you would thread a drawstring. In my opinion, this threading tool is the best part of the whole kit. I don't plan to cut into a waistband in order to thread these elastic lengths through, but I do have PJ pants and work-out pants that have drawstrings, and when the drawstrings occasionally get lost within the casing from being washed in the washing machine, this tool makes it so easy to re-thread the drawstring through.My one complaint is that the button hole elastic has an extremely pungent smell of rubber latex. As soon as I opened the package that they came in, the smell came pouring out of the opening. I actually had to remove the elastic to another room to air out, while writing this review.Because of this, I am deducting one star.

Perfect set… even includes the metal piece to help feed the elastic through the pants! Super easy installation (the only sewing required was the buttons… I watched a YouTube video for how to do it)

These are super helpful !! My son is a 10/12 in the waist but a 14/16 in length. Always rolling his pants or pulling them up. These make is so I can make the waist smaller when he needs it and he can be comfortable.
