This is a one piece fine mesh netting made of plastic threads, similar to fine fishing line. If it snags on something not too big or sharp, the individual threads tend to separate versus breaking, which means that there is some ability to ease them back into position to make the hole smaller, versus fabric where the threads would snap and then fray. The mesh is fine enough that it should prevent just about any critter from getting to your plants if the edges are well-secured.The size and dimensions are pretty good to cover a standard row or raised bed. The edges aren't finished, so there is the ability for them to fray considerably. This gives you more flexibility to cut it into smaller sizes, but means that you have to be pretty careful how you have the ends secured.

Much cheaper and in better sizes than I can get at any local big-box store, so it's already a win.Using it to prevent my brassica beds from being colonized by various caterpillars and worms, and to keep the may flea beetles off my upcoming eggplant transplants.Seems to have good airflow and reasonable water/rain flow, though enough gets deflected that I might be worried about the plants drying out in very hot weather without drip irrigation, but that's the case with all functional bug netting.

The garden netting arrived in a resealable bag. It was clean and there were no off odors. The edges are slightly frayed, not finished, but that's typical for this product. They usually don't unravel to any great degree. It's a lightweight fabric. It is not for frost protection but it's outstanding for keeping insects out. It has to be secured to the ground but it keeps moths and other bugs off your plants. You can either drape it over the plants, use plant hoops or staple to a wood frame. The downside is this type of fabric snags easily but if you're careful it will last a couple of seasons at least. One could also use it for mosquito netting over a bed, a swing, hammock or umbrella chair.

I live in a very rural area. I have 1.5 acres of land and am constantly having bears, deer, fox, coyote, rabbits, hawks, etc., on my property. I have a huge garden and last year I could not keep any of my brassicas safe from being eaten. No amount of companion planting warded off the animals. This netting will help me keep my veggies safe this spring/summer. Can't wait!

There are a number of uses for this netting around my property, including using it over my blueberries & raspberries. Once they are done, I'm moving it to use over my hydrangeas that get a bit too much sunlight during hot summer months and to protect them from the deer eating them. They LOVE my hydrangeas! The other thing I may try is using this over my small pond in the Fall when the leaves are coming off of the trees and blowing everywhere. The size is right. This will help a lot with Spring clean-up.The mesh is fine as shown in the listed photos. And it seems strong. So for the uses and price, it seems like a good value.
