It turns out that my old Slash 4x4 had four mis-matched and almost bald tires. This is a well used truck, and our track at work eats up tires. It was time for new shoes.These are very good, all-around short course and bashing tires. Longer grass might be an issue, though. I never run on concrete but would anticipate these wearing quickly on concrete/blacktop.The tires, I’m guessing, are a medium compound. Wear should be average to other similar tires, which really means they will last a good amount of time unless running on concrete.The foams are open cell and will wear down over time and with usage, but if you run it occasionally, these will be fine. If you’re running a lot, might want to think about foams.These came unglued. I don’t enjoy glueing tires, but it’s part of the hobby. I’m also not very precise and slobbered some glue onto the tires and rims, which left a white residue. It scraped off the rims but doesn’t (easily) come off the tires. Just an observation.Rims feel more solid than the shiny, break the hub on the first outing rims, and I’ll post a follow-up if these any of the rims go belly-up within a reasonable timeframe (but I don’t anticipate it as they feel pretty solid).Comes with some red aluminum wheel nuts.Overall, these will be perfect if you’re looking for a very good general purpose tires for your Slash. The old school white lettering adds a cool vibe to the look.
