I have the 12-color kit:1. There are 12 different colors, but a total of 36 applications. The 12 bottles arrive with dye in each of them. There are also 24 extra dye packets (2 extra of each color). You need to use them right after you mix with water.2. The colors are very vibrant (see photo)!! They appear more vibrant depending on the fabric and how you apply them. I noticed them significantly more vibrant on the 100% cotton white T-shirt I used. I didn't completely saturate the shirt with dyes. On the lighter weight 100% cotton white fabric rectangles, the colors are lighter and muted. On these, I really saturated them with a lot of dye. It has a muddy appearance, but that's actually the look I prefer. The colors I used are blue, fuchsia, coral, and mint.3. You'll probably have to experiment with different fabric types and weights, as well as application methods, but there is plenty of dyes in this kit to do that.4. It comes with an instruction and tips guide. They also include a plastic drop cloth, plastic gloves, and some rubber bands. I highly recommend using the drop cloth and gloves!!5. The guide suggested leaving color to set for 6 to 8 hours before washing, or longer if you want more vibrant colors. I only let mine set about 4 hours before washing.6. This kit has some unique colors, like "olive green" for example. There is no black, brown, or gray, but there are enough dyes to mix colors up to create new colors.

I absolutely love this kit but then I love tie dye and for somebody to gather up all that you need is a real pleasure. There are 12 beautiful colors - let the fun begin!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haven't done tie-dye in ages, then this popped up so the, "why not!?" bug bit me. ;)It's honestly a great little kit to get you started, or to introduce some youngsters to the fun of making awesome clothes & other stuff that is one-of-a-kind. The bottles aren't very large, so you won't do tons of different things all at once, but there are plenty of colors. Each has it's own bottle with a cap to show the hue, and this pack includes a refill of dye powder on top of what's already in each bottle!! WOOT!Just add water, mix to dissolve thoroughly and you're ready to start soaking your prepped shirts, caps, socks, etc.

Reviewing Tie Dye Kit (12 Colors) (12 Colors), Our granddaughter loves tie-dye. When I told her we could make our own tie-dye clothes, her eyes got huge and she mentions it every time we see her, so I ordered this kit.It’s easy to use, and the instructions help you along. The dye is good quality and permanent so don’t get it on anything you don’t want to dye. The colors are varied enough that you should be able to make whatever design you want. It also includes a lot of dye packets, gloves and a bunch of other accessories (see picture of box to see what all is included). This is a great kit for the price.
