If you need to find angles regularly and the size is right, this is a great tool. It is decently built (similar to what you would expect at a "freight" store). It works reliably and I won't be bummed if I accidently break it.

This product worked as described, both as a ruler and an angle finder. Its finish is a bit rough, but it has sufficient precision for crafting and woodworking.The ruler is made of steel about 1.1mm thick. It is thin for a steel ruler, but the markings are accurately engraved, not printed. The displayed angle seemed accurate when I tested it with woodworking rulers I have.It should be very useful for measuring angles on objects that are not right angles. There is a screw next to the LCD to lock the angle, but it can't hold the angle firmly even when fully tightened. The axle is stiff enough to prevent easy movement, but need to be careful not to change the angle when transferring it to the material.

Any sort of measuring device of this nature really does deserve to have a very simple plastic case. I would be happy to pay a little more for one. Looks like I'll make my own in the woodshop. - don't mind the challenge. Had to do it with lots of my power tools. The angle finder comes with a battery - I' ll make space in my case for a spare. A digital finder means I can record the angle and reset the gage later back to the saved (Now Known and recorded) angle and with accuracy. This can not be done with the manual one I have had since my youth - so Yea. - stainless = no rust

This 12-inch digital angle finder is very well made. It comes with two batteries – one for the tool plus a spare. It is quite difficult to open the tray to insert the battery and we were quite concerned about breaking the tabs. Too bad that wasn’t better designed.The 12” length is very good to have and certainly helps in getting an accurate measurement. It’s easy to use and the “Hold” feature is useful.There is a convenient hole in the end to hang it up.I definitely recommend this angle finder – handy to have around.

Then after couldn't get the thing to give me an accurate read.I zero it out. Nothing.
