I was very satisfied with the results after getting my angle two ways. The first was to position the angle finder on an existing piece with an obtuse angle and then I replicated the angle on a new piece. The second method is where I used a level to find plum and used the angle finder to find the angle at the floor where there is a steep decline. This method produced excellent results also.

Great product. Love it. So glad i bought it. works well both the angle and level. if you do DIY at home that involves cutting at an angle, then this is a must have.

I tested it against other framing squares I have just to see if 90 degrees is really accurate - it is - yeah. Tested with my speed square for 45 degrees, again 45.0! right on the mark. The only thing you should be aware of is it's big (16"), which makes it not possible to use on radial arm saws, and compound miter boxes because the blade guards prevent it from laying on the table and against the blade to verify your angle. If you have these tools, I would look for a shorter angle finder (perhaps 6-8")

I run a metal saw for a living and this works perfectly to verify angle.
