This looks nice but I did NOT realize that it was screwed together.I already have concerns about the screw stripping out since I found out by accident that it was screwed together.

I didn't read the specs too closely, and the post height is not suitable for many midi lathes. You won't be able to lower it enough when the post hole is over the bed rails. I solved this by cutting off an inch or so. Being good quality SS, it was tough to cut cleanly. It is well-made and cleanly finished and the tools slide nicely along it.Bear in mind that the bar is long and does not have a support flange, so heavy cutting near the bar end will invariably cause some vibration and possibly deflection. I plan to use it only for final finishing cuts on longer pieces.

The two pieces are not welded together. The tool rest wobbles back and forth with over an inch of movement.
