I grabbed this because I intend on upgrading to a 7800x3d in the very near future, and while the standard mounting hardware should work with the hook mount that is built into AM5, I prefer the much easier to deal with bolt on method. As such, this seemed like a no brainer.For those unfamiliar with this mounting method, when used on AM4 there will be some wiggle before you mount the cooler. This is fine, as it ends up fully tightened down snugly once the cooler is mounted to the processor. It is not a problem, and it expected behavior, designed so the cooler will work without issue with both AM4 and AM5, which have slightly different mounting clearances.It fit on my waterblock without issue, and it also holds without issue. That's all it needs to do.

I received this item as part of the Amazon Vine program.Pros,+Easy to assemble and use+decently packagedCons,-packaging could be better.Overall, 4/5This Corsair mount kit is okay. It is simple and works well. Just replace the existing mounts and mount, nice and simple. My only complaint is the packaging, it's not good, just plastic bags without any protection.
