This is a great travel cage for small birds - nothing bigger than a budgie. Goes together easily and is secure. Unfortunately, the perches are too large in circumference for little birds. I had to make some from elm branches and wire them into place. You should note that the wire runs horizontally, so twist in dishes typically available for small birds will not attach. The dishes provided are fine, but I needed a couple small ones in addition and had to tape them in place with packing tape. Worked just fine, though.
