I really love this set. One of the things that makes this stand out is the backing plate. The backing plate hold the pad as if it was molded to the backing plate. The game changer is the fastener of the backing plate. It fits on a grinder and with that it's easier to use it compared to a drill. Let's face it drills were never made to become grinding tools. When using your grinder it gives you a lot more control. Now when I am welding on something I don't have to have two different tools. All I need is my grinder so I can cut the metal change the backing plate and then I can grind on my weld.

Besides providing a lot of progressively finer grits, this set included an adapter that attaches to an angle grinder. The adapter is a perfect fit for my angle grinder. You really need an angle grinder to do this kind of work. The speed of the angle grinder makes quick work of what would otherwise be a tedious job using something like a hand drill. The adapter held the pads very tightly. There is no bouncing around when doing the job making for a nice smooth surface.
