The Shark Corporation 12-inch fine cut pruning saw produces the clean cuts needed for healthy trees and shrubs. Its unique blade shape (narrow at the tip) allows it to fit into tight spaces between branches for added convenience. The saw also features a thin pull-cut blade with teeth featuring three sharp cutting edges for fast, easy cuts. The double-tempered teeth remain sharp at least three times longer than other pruning saws on the market. Other features include a comfortable patented pistol grip elastomer handle with quick-release blade design that permits toolbox storage and easy replacement of worn blades.

I miss the ability to cut both ways. There are times when you just need to push the saw to get a cut started. I find the blade flimsy and wobbly. My old shark saw with a wood handle cut like a champ for many, many years. I was hopping for the same quality; that's why I bought another Shark. But they don't make them like they used to.

I have owned and used regularly a Shark 12” Finecut pruning saw for maybe as many as 10 years (not sure) and love it. Just last week it broke and I was delighted to find I could still purchase almost the same model on Amazon. I say “almost” because the new version replaces my previous version’s blade’s button-release with a twist lock and the handle is slightly different the new version having a rubber-type over-mold on the grip. If this new one works as well and even half as long I’ll be delighted. I have made a scabbard from a chainsaw blade protector so I can wear on my belt along with my hand pruner.

I have used Japanese pull saws for cutting off dowels and fine cutting of wood trim for years and I love how well they work. They cut when you pull unlike regular says that cut when you push. That little design difference improves control and reduces the work load significantly. We needed a better pruning saw so I went looking for saw that works like my pull saws and that's how I found this saw.It is razor sharp and cuts on the pull. It makes clean cuts and is a pleasure to use.A little more expensive than the run of the mill pruning saws but very much worth the extra dollars.

Excellent. We have had one like it for many years. Wanted to replace it with the same.

This is the best cutting pruning saw that I ever have used. The pull action cuts small and medium branches with minimal effort. That being said, my plastic handle cracked after much use making it dangerous to use. I think that they should use a better material in the handle to prevent this.

This is the 3rd one I have purchased (literally wore out one) and they are simply the finest pruning saws I have ever used. Cuts fast, clean and requires less energy and power when you learn to cut on the pull stroke rather than push.
