We have a seafood feast in February every year and in 2024 we couldn’t locate our utensils anywhere. They still haven’t shown up and I think we may have loaned/lost them for good. I was so excited to find this set because it is far more complete and higher quality than our old one! Although we haven’t put them to the test yet, I can tell from the hinges and weight that they will work well. The plastic parts are average/normal for this type of utensil and I don’t anticipate problems. The only thing I would recommend (regardless of what the manufacturer states) is to hand wash the tools. Most dishwasher detergents are just too abrasive and prematurely wear the plastics and pit metals like aluminum.

I grew up on the east coast by water so I am used to getting bushels of crabs during the Summer and going to family gatherings where crabs and shellfish are involved. I love this I no longer use my teeth to crack crabs as I did as a child so I need some nice utensils that are specific to eating crabs in abundance. The quality and quantity of these are nice and you get some cute extras in the package. Overall I am very pleased with everything and enjoy using it.

I got this since my family eats a lot of shell fish. I like that you get 4 of the breaker and fork. Don't have to wait on the other person to finish. The scissor are nice since it has a curve and the just the right size. The little forks are really good at getting the meat out. I compared to the one I had and my old one is heavier and sturdy quality. This one is light and it does the job but not the best quality. But I like that it comes with the smaller breaker so you can use it for the skinny legs on crabs.
