I have this in a jeep that sits most of the year. Its waiting to be taken off road by my daughter who is off at college. The battery was dead and would not crank it over and start. I attached a solar panel and charged the battery, but it still did not hold a charge strong enough to start the jeep. I added this to the battery and let the solar panel continue to charge it also. After 2 weeks I removed both units and the jeep cranks over and starts even after sitting for a few days. It cranks faster than it has in a long time.

I have zero experience with this kind of thing. If this can make a $200 car battery last an extra two years it will be very well spent money. It's easy to connect. The light turns on to show it is working. The description says it will turn off before it drains your battery. You can use this while the battery is connected to a charger, too. It looks like a good deal.
