Good points: I was at first skeptical as to whether this would work as represented. It really does. It allows me to pick up logs off the ground without going down to a knee or bending all the way over. It still involves some bending over but my 70-year-old back is grateful. After a day of picking up and splitting logsI I will have not have to reach as much for the bourbon at night to quiet my old back down. (Wait, maybe this is not a good tool for me to use after all!) It is easy to assemble even though the instructions are not the best. It takes about five minutes to put together. The steel used is quite thick and I am sure this tool will provide many years of use.Bad points: None.A good buy all around.

We move a lot of cut logs and pieces on our small tree nursery and farm. I wanted something to make the smaller logs easier for multiple people to get a good hold on. This is it. It uses the weight of the load to lock on to the log. Very easy to use, relatively light for the user.Handy product. We use it regularly. Very good value.

I ordered this product to span the short and full size logs that I harvest. It does that but lacks the grabbing efficiency of my other tools..OK but not great..
