Poor quality control or maybe just poor quality.Ordered this safe in late April. The internal light did not work and it would not take new codes. Each time I tried to setup a user or master code, the alarm would trigger.I requested a replacement and it was delivered fairly quickly. However, the second safe was also a bust. Once again, the internal light doesn’t work and just touching the rest button, or any button, triggers the alarm.

The safe itself is fine for what I paid. I was just a little confused because there were Extra Parts inside. Minus the 4 AA batteries that the information sheet said were included. Maybe I only got partial instructions? IDKIt locks and unlocks that’s all that matters.

Works for what it's supposed to do. Keeps items safely under lock and key.

This lockbox is perfect for when we go on our trips. It can hold our money, passports, jewelry and sensitive documents in one place. It's not heavy and made of quality materials. I received two keys and both have no issues when locking/unlocking.As far as security is concerned, I'm sure someone could pry it open if they really wanted to but I don't see how they could do so without damaging the box.The box is a nice compact size so I'm able to easily keep it out of sight but large enough to hold everything I need to keep safe.

This is a nice small box for sorting and storing some things. It is reasonably strong metal but not secure like a safe. Someone could stomp on it to break it open. The lock would only keep honest people out. It could be used for keeping track of money and tickets at an outdoor event like a yard sale but you would have to be watchful that someone doesn’t carry off the entire box. The size of the tray partitions requires that you keep bills in the lower section so you will constantly lift out the tray to insert and remove paper money. A youngster might enjoy keeping valuables in it at home so it would make a nice inexpensive gift. Perhaps give it with a few dollars inside.

Definitely not a fire safe. Just a tin box with a lock. Total disappointment.

How can this product be fire proof OR waterproof when there are two holes in the back and two holes in the bottom for wall/floor mounting???

To get a locking steel box in the year 2024 for just $9.99 is surprising. This box indeed does the job of deterring opportunistic thieving. It's attractive with a super glossy black enamel finish and a stainless steel handle. That said, while this box does the job, it does not compare in quality of manufacturing or in strength to an old school cash box made 50 years ago. Put another way, this box is obviously not of "commercial grade" quality that a business could use daily for decades. I think the useful life of this box is in years but not decades like old school quality. That said, just ten bucks and your cash/papers are in a very fire-resistant container that can deter pilferers (though not determined thieves with prying tools). To put this much value into such a low price is worth a five star rating.
