this is not 1 3/4 inch diameter, it more like 1 5/8. i had to weld an extra piece on it for it to work.

Sounded like crap, took a loud deep exhaust and made it sound like a little spudder. Tried cutting them shorter to see if that'd help, it didn't.Hardware snaps and bends, snapped both bolts trying to take them back off and bent a "lock washer" right open when I tried to tighten them down.Mike work for some, but it was a definite no for me

These are about 1.60 inches in their largest diameter, so they don't fit so well into a 1.75-inch tube. :--(

Needed something to cut the raw exhaust noise. Previous owner chopped the mufflers off. These little baffles cut way more noise than I thought they would. It's quiet enough now that I can talk over it without any packing installed on the baffles yet. In fact I may not pack them at all. It does sound a bit wimpy now but that's fine. With the 8 inch long baffle you can cut them and pack them to change it to what you like. I will probably replace the locking hardware with stainless but what came with it works for now.Without baffles it was like standing next to a straight piped rat rod.

I am past my "the louder the better" era. So, I was looking to quiet down my straight pipes just a bit.And these baffles did just that. I have taken 3 measurements at 6 feet away:Without baffles - 90db (obnoxious)4-inch baffles - 87db8-inch baffles -85dbThe sound difference between the three is not very noticeable.As you can see, the difference is not HUGE, but it's something. And that something is exactly what I wanted. If you are the same and total straight pipes is not what you're looking for, these are a great option.
