It was just what it was supposed to be. It allows you to reach the upper inside nut (one of 3) that secure the injection pump to the timing housing. It may be possible to get it off without this tool but really hard to insure that it is properly snugged up afterwords. It is still not a fun job with the engine in a vehicle!Jim
