John Deere HPX owners: THIS WORKS!!! Very minor modification of the throttle linkage is required, but everything else is plug n play! Quality seems to be good and even comes with a rebuild kit for a fraction of what a new JD carb costs. I'm very impressed.

Right out of the box it had air leak at the throttle valves. The one I was replacing it with was doing the same thing. Should have known better than to try to get optimal results with Chinese carbs.

Carb went out on my 2004 HPX Gator, tried rebuilding it, No JOY, John Deere wanted almost $500 for a new carb. I researched other UTV's that used this type of engine and found for 2004 Kawasaki Mule the carb looked perfect, did away with the soleniod for gas shut off and did away with the electric heater, only mod to the new carb was grinding sown the connector for the throttle and drilling a 1/8" hole to connect the throttle cable to it. Powered up the gator and off I go into the wild blue yonder, and this carb comes with a rebuild kit for future repairs if ever needed.

After several rebuilds on the original carb for my 2005 Mule I decided to give this a try. As many here stated you do need to enlarge the pilot holes. Fits great. Seals well. Runs like a champ. Came with a rebuild kit for the old carb.
