After doing some research I felt I needed a lower amp charger for my smaller LifePo4 batteries. The 'experts' seem to agree that slower charging is best at least. I measured the charging current at 1.6 amps and it did indeed shut off charging and give a green light when the batteries reached 13.8 volts. There are a number of expensive, computerized "all makes" battery charges out there...but for simple, safe charging of smaller LifePO4 batteries this is a good choice.

This is a very barebones charger. It comes with only the alligator clips hardwired. There is no SAE or other quick-connect where you can easily attach different style fittings for different applications.In the product description they mention "UL-recognized safe and efficient pure copper power cord" but that is a load of rubbish. There is no UL or ETL certification markings anywhere on the product. Even if the wire itself is UL-listed, what about the charger itself? You are definitely not going to want to leave this product unattended and make sure you can easily and quickly disconnect it and unplug from the wall in a hurry just in case.There is no information given regarding the charging profile - e.g. bulk/boost, absorption, float/trickle etc.I think this is good to just charge up a small battery and then disconnect it and unplug it. I wouldn't trust it for use as a maintainer for long-term connection.At $19 I'd say it's an OK deal but I'd recommend spending a bit more on a higher quality charger that provides more information about the charging profiles.

This is a nice little LiFePO4 battery charger for smaller ah batteries. I really like the battery clamps. They clamp on well and don’t slip off.I tested it on a larger battery and it works. It’s listed as 1.5a, but I was able to measure 1.69a, so a little more than it’s listed at.For the price I’m happy with it.
