I tried a couple of these out on a simple single transistor LED dimmer (yeah, 2w pot is overkill, but I needed to review these!) and the shaft is well damped, and was well within tolerance (couple I pulled were less than 5%). I haven't tried any destructive testing to see if they stand up to the 2W rating or not. The overall build certainly doesn't stand up to an Allen Bradley pot, but they're certainly usable for a lot of general purpose tasks.
